Veneers and Lumineers

Smiles can be improved aesthetically by the placement of veneers. Veneers are thin, semi-translucent shells of porcelain, custom made to fit the front teeth. They are permanently bonded to the teeth giving them an improved appearance. The treatment is usually completed in one or two visits.

Veneers are most commonly used to enhance the appearance of teeth that are chipped, broken, stained, discolored or misshaped. Also they may be used to aesthetically improve the smile and avoid orthodontics, in such cases as crooked teeth or spaces between them.

Lumineers are a brand of veneers that require minimal or no tooth preparation and may be used to permanently give the teeth a whiter look. Lumineers may not work for all cases. Our dentists will explain which type of restoration works best for each situation.
